Hello, Steemit friends! My first time to make Gyoza! Today. I like to eat Gyoza very much but I have never been making it. I think it’s a lot of work to cook it. You can see how it looks like in my recipe below here. :)
Dough ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of hot water
A pinch of salt
Gyoza filling ingredients:
200 grams of ground pork
100 grams of sliced garlic chives
150 grams of sliced cabbage
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cloves of chopped garlic
1 tablespoon of chopped ginger
2 tablespoons of tapioca flour
2/3 tablespoon of shoyu sauce
2/3 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of white pepper powder
100 ML of pure water (to steam the gyoza)
Step 1: Making the dough sheet.
Add all-purpose flour into a bigger bowl and add hot water into it, mix the flour together with hot water, knead the dough for 10 minutes and use plastic wrap cover it and leave it for 30 minutes.
When the dough is ready it’s time to make the dough sheet. Roll out the dough so that it is long and cut it into small pieces of 2 cm in diameter. Then, roll out the small pieces to make each look like the circle and at the same time add the all-purpose flour into the dough sheet, too. I got the dough sheet for 25 pieces.
Step 2: Making the Gyoza filling.
Add sliced garlic chives, sliced cabbage and salt, mix it together and leave it for 10 minutes. Then, squeeze all the ingredients until they are dried.
Add dried vegetables into the ground pork bowl, add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, shoyu sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar and tapioca flour, mix all the ingredients together. The filling is ready!
Step 3: Wrapping Gyoza and cooking Gyoza!
Add the gyoza filling into the dough sheet and wrap it. Make it beautiful like I did.
Set a pan over the medium heat, add vegetable oil and heat it. Then, add the gyoza into the hot oil and fry it for a moment, you can check if the gyoza dumplings base looks beautiful and crispy. Then, add pure water into the fried gyoza dumpling pan and cover it for 5-7 minutes. The cooking is finished!
Prepare the plate and let’s eat the gyoza together with shoyu sauce. Yummy!
My first Gyoza looks so pretty! If you would like to make your own Gyoza I hope my recipe can help you to cook it.
Thank you for following my recipe and all the support.
Love, Maya
