Hi, this post will be about my thoughts on my approach to life. I'll be writing about the changes that have occurred in my mind over the past few years and what I've done to get to one very important skill - enjoying myself. The post may be a bit long, so I recommend making yourself a cup of tea. I invite you to do so!
Adopting the role of a learner

The title of this section may seem a bit vague. What I mean here is to throw your ego in the trash. We learn all our lives, and learning is something that leads us to become a better person. The simple thought here is that the path to being a good mentor leads us by learning to be a good student. Absorbing good qualities such as patience, virtue, living according to nature, and learning to reject the temptations of this world, has played a significant role in changing how I feel. I'm still learning all the time, and I don't intend to stop.

Rejecting emotions in matters beyond our control

There are moments in life that stir up strong emotions, many of them situations beyond our control. This leads to the question - is it a coincidence that our bad feeling about such matters is pointless as well as unfounded? Will the fact that we worry about such an issue change anything? The answer is simple, in most such cases we are wasting our time. However, overcoming one's own emotions is very important to achieve one's goal. I am not saying that such moments are worth forgetting. It's the opposite, instead of feeling sorry for yourself, it's worth learning lessons and using them to learn and become a better person.

other people's opinion and self-control

Many people comment on others despite having their own problems. It is necessary to accept that this is simply the way it is. The important thing is not to succumb to opinion - the most important thing is to live in harmony with yourself. Success is not an objective concept. It is something different for each of us. Let's follow our chosen path and not look at the meaningless opinions of other people. We can allow criticism and valuable insights, but not gibberish, which can often be hypocritical. People like comfort and convenience. Thoughts of "I'll drop out of college, it will be easier for me", "I'll become like others", "why should I try" are convenient, but also disastrous. Focusing on one's own goal is better than that and leads us to where we will find our own definition of happiness. Being a self-directed person puts us in control of our own lives and no one can shake that for any reason.

Rejecting toxic people from close as well as further surroundings

Friendship as well as love is an important area of our lives, it affects us, so can everyone have access to it? Can everyone know the path we have traveled? The opinion of loved ones is important to us, so can everyone be a close friend to us? Proper evaluation of the people around us is fundamental. Further surrounding us is social media, which can be a powerful tool leading to self-improvement, but also a disastrous time-eater or a mine of bad advice and opinions.

Gym

Here I will tell a little more about myself. I wrote above that the private sphere of life cannot be accessed by everyone. I will expand a little on this topic. I believe that no one needs to know our entire history and its details. However, carefully selected information is not a bad thing.

I have always heard that I am ugly. Opinions followed me, I often heard from behind me infamous opinions about my appearance. Often even from people close to me who tried to manipulate me. How did I cope with this? I accepted myself. Only later did I begin to change. I started intensive training, which was not motivated by anything bad. I liked myself as I am, but I didn't stop there. I made the change in my appearance in a way that was consistent with myself. The gym taught me many things. It was related to most of the other points in this post. Everything I have written about is not loose sub-points. It is a grid that connects in even the least expected places. It's been a long time since I started my transformation. What has happened to the opinion of outsiders? Literally nothing, it is what it was. However, I know that I'm not standing still, so I don't worry about it, and there's no room in my head for thoughts about whether people sending me such information are vegetating. I do everything for myself, driven by an internal, healthy motivation to achieve my own goal, rather than fighting to change the opinions of others.

Hi! This is my first picture of myself on hive!

Strong moral principles

Adopting moral principles is a hard task for many in a world full of temptations, but not impossible. Keeping our heads occupied with something superfluous is convenient, at every turn something tempts us to abandon the pursuit of our goal. Completing an important project is difficult, solving a problem is difficult, giving up is easy, but what results will be better? Adopting our own principles helps us achieve our goals and become a better person.

Fighting addictions

Addictions are objectively bad. They often distract us from our goal. I rejected alcohol completely because it was harmful in any amount. Exercise + masses of alcohol is a bad idea. The effects will be much, much less, which can discourage a person from exercising in the long run. Effects are often the driving force behind human motivation.

Conclusion

I think that if there is something by which I will become better by at least 0.001%, it is worth doing. Learning to enjoy ourselves is a powerful tool in our hands that will help us to the very end. Winning internal conflicts is something that changes a person 180 degrees. Self-control and respect for one's time and self, sound like something that cannot be objectively bad.

However, it's worth mentioning that this post is not a lesson, it's not a guide, and it's a simple subjective opinion that can be put to good use or ignored as meaningless information. I invite you to comment on this post and express your own constructive opinions. Thank you for reading this post and remember head on over!

Ludzie lubią wygodę i komfort.

Ćwiczenia + masa alkoholu to zły pomysł.
