Ya tengo mi tarjeta Coppel! / I already have my Coppel card!

Para la gran mayoría de las personas, el poder comprar de contado se hace cuesta arriba, así que optan por usar las facilidades que dan los créditos, sea por tarjetas bancarias, o por alguna tienda que ofrezca el pago por cuotas, ya que de esta forma se puede ir adquiriendo algunos de los electrodomésticos o inclusive ropa y calzado en momentos de premura económica.

Durante mi vida en Venezuela tuve tarjetas de crédito de varias entidades bancarias, las cuales me facilitaron no solo la adquisición de productos, sino también hacerme una buena reputación crediticia, lo cual incidió de manera directa o indirecta en la aprobación del crédito hipotecario al momento de adquirir mi casa.

Llegados acá, todo eso quedó en el pasado y me ha tocado paso a paso comenzar de nuevo. Primero una cuenta de ahorros en línea, luego activar Mercado Pago y ahora la aprobación de la tarjeta de la cadena de tiendas por departamentos Coppel, en la cual he comprado muchas cosas pero siempre de contado, ya que nunca me animaba a solicitar la tarjeta por el temor a los intereses.

Pero en esta última visita, cuando me la ofrecieron mientras estaba viendo las vitrinas desde la calle, les dije que si de manera automática, total, por tenerla no significa que deba usarla regularmente. Así que acompañé a la promotora para que tomara mis datos y viera si el sistema me aprobaba, y por fortuna así fue.

El proceso es bastante sencillo, pues además de los datos personales, hacen algunas preguntas con respecto a la actividad u oficio en la que uno se desempeña, un aproximado de las ganancias mensuales para que el sistema haga el cálculo del monto tope que puedes utilizar y ya luego pasas al área de cajas para que te generen el plástico,para lo cual se debe hacer una compra, así sea pequeña, con el fin de que quede asentado en el sistema.

Fue en esta tienda donde compré mi nuevo teléfono, del cual les debo todavía el unboxing, pero es que ha sido todo tan rápido que todavía estoy explorando todas las ventajas que tiene esa nueva herramienta de trabajo, de la que puedo adelantarles que estoy enamorada por brindarme no solo la inmediatez en todas las apps que uso a diario, sino por el tiempo que me ahorra en esos menesteres.

A pesar de haber pagado el celular de contado, me activaron mi tarjeta de inmediato, así que ya puedo tener acceso a todos los beneficios que ofrece, solo debo estar pendiente de los días que vaya a comprar, de manera de que la primera cuota de pago no me quede tan cercana.

Ahora mi monedero físico tiene una nueva tarjeta, a la que seguramente le haré uso muy pronto, ya que me va a permitir comprar algunas cosas que necesito, además de cambiar parte del mobiliario de segunda mano que tengo en casa, el cual fue donado por muchas personas cuando recién llegamos, pero que ya cumplieron con su cometido.

Ya no veré con melancolía las publicaciones de mis compatriotas venezolanos que usan cashea, pues con mi nueva tarjeta Coppel también podré hacer realidad muchos proyectos pospuestos por falta de liquidez.

But on my last visit, when they offered it to me while I was looking at the shop windows from the street, I said yes automatically, because having it doesn't mean I have to use it regularly. So I went with the salesperson to give her my details and see if the system would approve me, and luckily it did.

The process is quite simple, because in addition to personal data, they ask some questions about your job or profession and your approximate monthly income so that the system can calculate the maximum amount you can use. Then you go to the checkout area to have the card generated, for which you must make a purchase, even a small one, so that it is recorded in the system.

It was in this store that I bought my new phone, which I still owe you the unboxing of, but it's been so fast that I'm still exploring all the advantages of this new work tool, which I can tell you I'm in love with because it not only gives me immediacy in all the apps I use every day, but also saves me time in those tasks.

Even though I paid for the phone in cash, they activated my card immediately, so I can now access all the benefits it offers. I just have to keep track of the days I'm going to make purchases so that the first payment installment isn't too close.

Now my physical wallet has a new card, which I will surely use very soon, as it will allow me to buy some things I need, as well as replace some of the second-hand furniture I have at home, which was donated by many people when we first arrived, but which has now served its purpose.

I will no longer look wistfully at the posts of my fellow Venezuelans who use cashea, because with my new Coppel card I will also be able to realize many projects that I had postponed due to lack of liquidity.
