To me I think that is an obligation for everybody when it comes to taxes we need pay taxes for society to grow up schools, roads, hospitals and other benefits we can get from taxes but the point when its coming to places of worship I think its not simple question because churches and every other religion isn´t the same than the others businesses.

To me, a church is not just a building you go to every Sunday. It is where you worship God, where you can feel safe when you are going through a rough time, where you learn and grow in faith, and where you get uplifted when life gets tough. Churches have outreaches, support underprivileged families, and help those who are less fortunate.

I can see why some folks think churches ought to be taxed, especially as some churches have received very large gifts or have millions of dollars in net income. After all, the government needs revenues to provide public goods and services, and we all benefit when our neighborhoods are safe, well-educated and healthy. It's also understandable that people would be willing to hold organizations accountable that are subsidized with taxpayers' money.

But I don't think every church should be taxed like a business. Numerous churches rely solely on donations by their congregants. These gifts are then used to cover the cost of electricity, water, church upkeep, ministry work, and help for people in a financial pinch. If churches had to pay taxes on every penny donated to the church, a lot of small churches would have a tough time having a ministry.

Nonetheless, religious organizations should not play the victim role and use tax exemption as a shield to cover up those activities for which they are not serving the common good. If a religious non-profit runs a lucrative commercial business or spend time with non-religious activities, they should be fairly scrutinized by the law for their money earnings.

I also think that charging churches, without factoring their situation, could have some impact on the way they offer worship. It could cause some churches to cut down on their outreach, limit the amount of help offered to the community, or ask their members to chip in even more.

For me, it is not the solution just to tax all churches or exempting all religious institutions without any second thought. Governments have to set reasonable rules to promote authentic religious activities and identify them from commercial activities. Religious organizations should put their financial management in a good manner and be accountable to their members and communities.

So in the end I have decided that faith and social responsibility are better off working hand-in-hand. That churches should be able to strengthen communities and to clear up tax payers before the government is forced to. Money is necessary to maintain the public services, but charity, service, and generosity have their places.

The key is to strike the right balance between protecting the economy and preserving access to places of worship to serve their communities with faith, love, and compassion.
