💜 Good morning, friends of ladiesofhive@ladiesofhive 💜

First of all, I want to thank bobbyb58@bobbyb58 and thekittygirl@thekittygirl or these interesting questions, which make us reflect from a simple perspective on our own lives and human perceptions.

  1. A wrong assumption about me

This question brings back many anecdotes, because it's almost impossible not to make an assumption about someone, even if we've barely exchanged a word.

I'll tell you one. When I was at university, I joined a group of friends. Within that group there was a girl who had also been at my pre-university school; I'm very absent-minded and had never noticed, but she had.

After we had gone out to countless places — clubs, beaches, etc. — she said to me:

"Hey, did you know that I used to think you were one of those nerds who never looks up from the computer? My mom, when we were in pre-university, used to tell me to become friends with you so I'd stay calmer at home, and now it turns out you're the one telling me where the party is!"

As for the "nerd" thing, I burst out laughing, because people have always had that perception of me. It must be because of my glasses, but nothing could be further from the truth: I just wear them because of a vision problem. Besides, she was doubly wrong, because I wasn't the biggest partygoer — I just took advantage of the moments to get to know my new classmates.

In this case it wasn't something harmful, but many times a wrong perception of a person can push loved ones away or keep us from a greater well-being. That's why it's always better not to make assumptions and to touch reality with our hands, which can be done simply by talking. They say communication is the basis of interpersonal relationships, and I agree.

  1. The evolution of my favorite colors

I couldn't take part in the color contest, so this is a good opportunity to tell you about mine.

Since I was a child, I've always liked blue, and everything that had that color: my baseball team, Industriales; my soccer team, Argentina; and so, everything followed the same pattern with blue predominating.

Later, when I moved out to live with my partner, I fell in love with white: white clothes, everything in the house I matched with white. This helped me keep order and inner peace.

Now, at 31, I still love those colors. But pink and purple, ever since my daughter was born, have been a revelation. Little by little they've crept into my life: in her clothes, in her toys, in the decoration of her room… and without realizing it, also into mine. Pink conveys tenderness to me, sweetness, that soft energy that only motherhood gives. Purple, on the other hand, connects me with intuition, with the spiritual, with that part of me that was transformed when I became a mother.

It's curious how colors accompany our stages. Blue was my childhood and my sports passion; white, my search for calm and order; and now pink and purple are the reflection of the woman and mother I have become.

— me dijo:
