Hi!

This post is about the contest of LoH community.

Topic: We recently wrote about our favorite colors and how they make us feel. But, how has your favorite color changed over time? What prompted that change?

Honestly, I have no favorite color. I like every color, because I cannot imagine living in a mono‑color world. It’s impossible to live in a world that has only a single color, because it would be very boring and dull. So, in my view, no one could live happily in such a monotonous world. I’m not saying a person cannot prefer a particular color or give it more importance when choosing clothes or decorating their home. That’s a completely different matter, but living with a color is impossible in my view.

When I was a child, people used to tell me that girls like pink. That idea influenced my mind and I behaved exactly as I was told. Pink became my favorite color. I had pink dresses, pink bottles, a pink towel and so many other pink things. I was so obsessed with pink that I even wanted a pink puppy and wished the sky were pink.

Looking back, it was really funny. That child was innocent and ignorant. She had no idea that she had become a stereotype simply by listening to people who were equally ignorant. When I grew up, I realized that pink has nothing inherently special that should make every girl love it in all situations. God Almighty has made this world colorful and we humans are lucky that we can see most of its colors. We are gifted, and we should be thankful for that.

Thank you!

Wish you a very happy and colorful life!
