Me parece mágica.

🌞 Between the August Heat and the Dream of Spring: My Seasons in Cuba 🌸

Hello, my dear Ladies! 🌷 How happy I am to meet with you once again! I hope you're having a day full of beautiful things and that your hearts are at peace.

Here I am joining this week's contest, because I loved the idea: talking about seasons. It's a topic we all experience, but in very different ways depending on the corner of the world we live in. So get comfortable, relax with me for a moment, and let me tell you a little about how seasons are lived here in my beloved Cuba.

1. Which is the most difficult season for me, and what do I do to make it bearable?

I live in Cuba, where there are generally two seasons: winter and summer. For me, the hardest one is definitely summer, especially in August, when temperatures rise considerably and the heat physically drains you. There are days when your body just doesn't perform the same, and you have to learn to listen to it.

But here's the paradox: even though it's hard on the body, it's also the season I enjoy the most. Why? Because in August my daughter's school activities recess, which means I go on vacation with her. We can do so many things together: go to the beach, the parks, the theater… Those are the moments that make it all worthwhile. I also have more personal time to share with friends in different activities.

To make the heat more bearable, I rely on little summer rituals: seeking shade and breeze, cooling off with cold water, choosing the best times to go out, and above all not fighting the heat, but making the most of the cooler hours. In the end, heat is easier to handle when your days are full of beautiful things.

2. Do I prefer climate stability or variety? Which is my favorite season?

Where I live it's almost always summer, except for December, January, and February, which are a bit more wintry. I really like that cool weather, but the truth is I dream of places where I could contemplate spring in all its splendor. I think, if I could choose, spring would be my favorite season: that rebirth of flowers, the colors, the mild weather… It seems magical to me.

These days the weather is rainy and cloudy. Although it's cooler, it makes me very nostalgic. I suppose weather also stirs memories and moods, and that's part of the beauty of living where seasons are felt.

Thank you for reading, ladies.
