Cooking Blog: Ginisang Mackerel With Malunggay Leaves
Hello, how are you? I am so fired up today because I have a lot of things to do and to make, so I am very inspired to do it now. And there is construction happening in our house since yesterday, so I might just be okay with the noise today hehe.
We just discovered that this one brand of canned mackerel is really good, and whenever we run out of fresh food to cook, we switch to canned food and cook it to feed five people. That's what I am going to do today.
So I am going to cook mackerel today and I am going to add greens to it too to make it more healthier and tastier too. This is the best to cook when you're not in the mood to cook for longer than 10 minutes.
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- Tablespoon of Cooking Oil
- Garlic
- Red Onion
- Fish Sauce

- Green Chilis
- All-In-One Seasonings
- Malunggay Leaves
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a pan, I pour about a tablespoon of cooking oil and then I added the garlic and red onion sautee them until the aroma comes out.
Then I added a teaspoon of fish sauce and let it seep into the aromatics for a few seconds.
After that, I am going to add the canned mackerel.
Add a dash of black pepper.
Add half a cup of water.
And then add green chilis.
Then, to add more flavor to the broth, I added just half a teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning. Let it boil for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
After five minutes, I will add malunggay leaves for greens. Let it boil for about a minute.
Best when eaten while it is still hot.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating! :D
