This is a traditional Teochew (chinese dialect) style png kueh.
The word "Png" in chinese dialect means "Rice".
The skin of the Png kueh is made from Tapioca and Rice flour. The rice I use is Glutinous Rice or sticky rice. It is mixed with the rest of the ingredients which consist of mushrooms, fried shallots and fried shrimps.
Without the traditional mould during this lockdown period, I had used my Daugther heart shape cooking toy mould instead. 😂😂
