Battered Chicken Strips
Good evening, friends who love good food and have a refined palate, and who are reading this in the @hivefood community. It’s a pleasure to greet you. Today, I invite you to stop by my blog and leave your comments—what did you think?
You know, yesterday I was craving breaded chicken strips, so I made some to enjoy for lunch with my family. I served them with Russian salad and white rice. For a drink, I made a glass of oatmeal with plenty of crushed ice to cool us off from the heat we’re experiencing in my beloved country.
Battered chicken strips—also known in other countries as Roman-style chicken strips—can go by various names depending on where you are. It’s a delicious dish that kids, teens, and adults alike love. Coating the strips in a mixture of egg and flour creates a soft, protective layer that keeps the chicken juicy on the inside and golden brown on the outside when fried.
They really go a long way and taste delicious—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, which gives them a great touch. I made a sauce with mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard, and when I dipped them in this sauce, they tasted even better.
Now I’m going to list and describe the entire preparation process for this delicious dish of breaded chicken strips:
Ingredients
- 600 grams of boneless, skinless chicken breast
- Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and garlic sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of ground oregano, and a pinch of white pepper
- 2 eggs
- 5 heaping tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- oil for frying and salt to taste
Preparation
The first thing I did was wash the chicken breasts thoroughly with plenty of water. Then I cut some into julienne strips and others into small pieces. I seasoned them with Worcestershire sauce, garlic sauce, soy sauce, salt, oregano, white pepper, and cumin, and let them marinate for fifteen minutes.
Next, place the eggs in a bowl, add a little salt, beat them, and gradually add the wheat flour until a batter forms. Dip the strips in this batter and place them in a pot of very hot oil to fry them, turning them on both sides until they’re golden brown. Plate them, serve them with Russian salad and white rice, and enjoy your meal.
That’s all for this post—I hope you enjoyed it, and I’ll see you in my next post.
