A big hello to all my fellow cat lovers! I started this year by visiting a healthcare facility to accompany a family member; I was surprised to find some of my feline friends there. I was so touched to see them, as their presence brings comfort to some patients who need company and are trying to reduce the anxiety caused by their health conditions.

Un gran saludo amigos amantes de los felinos. Este año lo comencé visitando un centro de salud para acompañar a un familiar; mi sorpresa fue encontrar a algunos amigos que hacen vida en ese centro. Me emocioné mucho de verlos ya que su presencia alivia los momentos difíciles a algunos pacientes, que necesitan la compañía y que buscan bajar los niveles de ansiedad que le causa su situación de salud.
I was stressed myself, because just visiting these places can make you depressed, but seeing my friends calmed me down. Seeing them relaxed and playful gave me the peace I needed to face the time I was going to spend at the hospital, and I felt less alone, since they make you forget, even for a moment, the atmosphere you're in. They naturally distract you because they're constantly moving and breaking the silence that reigns in the place.
Yo misma estaba estresada, porque el solo visitar estos sitios hace que uno se deprima, y al ver a mis amigos, me tranquilicé; al verlos tranquilos y juguetones, sentí esa calma para enfrentar el rato que iba a pasar en el centro hospitalario y me sentí acompañada, ya que te hacen olvidar por instante el ambiente que te encuentras. Ellos por naturaleza te distraen ya que constantemente están en movimiento y rompen con ese silencio que reina en el lugar.
The presence of the cats does not go unnoticed; their antics always bring a smile to the face of the patient who interacts with them, who is distracted when they see them climbing a tree, simply sleeping, or when they are gently stroked as they pass by. This creates a tranquil atmosphere and becomes a therapeutic activity, making the wait more bearable for the patient.
La presencia de los felinos no pasa desapercibida; con sus travesuras, siempre sacan una sonrisa al paciente que interactúa con ellos, que se distrae cuando los ve escalar un árbol, simplemente dormir o cuando lo acarician al pasar. Esto crea un clima de tranquilidad y se convierte en una actividad terapéutica, donde el paciente que espera hace más llevadera su carga.
The atmosphere truly changes, you can feel the joy and the morning passes serenely; meeting my friends in the garden changed the mood, beautiful kittens who came to welcome me, happy day to all.
De verdad que el entorno cambia, se siente la alegría y la mañana transcurre con serenidad; el encuentro de mis amigos en el jardín cambio el ambiente, hermosos mininos que se presentaron a darme una bienvenida, feliz día para todos.
