When I came to the US, I wanted to learn to make those fluffy and fat pancakes I saw in the Sims 2. They looked a lot different from the ones I used to eat back home, not just when it comes to size, but also the way they're served. I don't ever remember my grandma serve pancakes with butter or fresh fruit and berries. Honey, jam, those are pretty common pairing though.

Anyway, I tried several times over the last couple years to master these. I've used a bunch of recipes too, some were simple, while the other ones were very complicated and required a lot of preparation. Then I stopped caring, especially since I'm real good at making crepes and I like them better ;).
However, every now and then I still feel like pancak-ing, and I did today.

Even though these could look slightly better as in prettier, they turned out fluffy and fat, just the way I wanted!

Not quite sure I should share a recipe here, I mean this is pancakes . . . I haven't used any special techniques or secrets while making the batter or frying these up.

75% of the flour I used was whole wheat and the remaining 25% was all purpose flour. For toppings I used Greek vanilla yogurt and homemade caramel sauce. I think that's about it.
