Time to dress up Pinky once again. Previously she is a Leaf Sorter and today for my participation in the Charactober character design challenge I made her an Acorn Gatherer which is the character prompt for day 2 of the said October drawing challenge.
I'm thinking autumn colors and maybe a lot of brown shades and reddish brown specifically. An acorn Gatherer could be any character doing the task so I think Pinky the pink piglet is still a good choice for me. I'm not actually designing a new character I'm just dressing up an old favorite comic character. To start I sketched a ruffly neck collar thinking about an oak leaf so that's my inspiration and started building the look from there. Right away I am inclined to give Pinky a tailored fancy suit with swallow tail. To give her little coat some interesting details, I added golden yellow buttons in the shape of an acorn. The pants style and color is a little challenge for me I could not decide on the colors and texture. In the end striped pants is more familiar and easy to make the colors though I just picked something random and I thought instead of an ordinary straw hat I gave her this cap that matches her pants.
