The week has been filled with news about all these crazy online security issues, especially with that recent Binance attack. It makes you realize how vulnerable digital spaces can be when bad people are constantly looking out for weaknesses.I wanted to channel that unsettling energy into a character study.
This little fellow sort of evolved out of those thoughts. With that masked face, the shadowy beard, and a tall, textured hat, he feels like the embodiment of a stealthy cyber threat lurking behind the screen. I played around with sharp contrasts and bright flat colors against a dark background to give him that sneaky, masked presence. It’s a bit different from my usual cheerful doodles, but sometimes art is just a way to process what's happening in the digital world around us.I’m looking forward to getting back to lighter sketches, but this was an interesting exercise in capturing a mood.
