My week has been so busy as I was juggling household errands and family get-togethers so today after all that chaotic week I wanted to step away from character design work and just draw some of the things that keep our kitchen running. I sat down with my tablet to sketch out a handful of familiar vegetables, playing around with how different shapes and bright, flat colors pop against a solid black background.
It’s been fun focusing purely on the colors getting that deep purple on the onion, the sharp green of the pepper, and the vibrant red of the tomatoes just right. Putting those simple highlights on them really helps give the shapes a bit of life without overcomplicating things. It’s a nice, relaxed change of pace from my usual routine, and honestly, looking at these vegs almost makes me want to start planning the next meal for the fam.
It is always good to switch gears and try something fresh, isn't it? I’m looking forward to seeing how these color choices influence my next doodle. Hmmm but that depends on my mood really. I always
go with the flow and sometimes I overdo it keep what’s working and learn from my mistakes
