I haven't shared anything with you for a long time, so today I created a nice digital drawing inspired by the 80's fashion, where I combine their iconic costumes with the sea and mermaids.

Hacia mucho no compartía nada con ustedes, asi que el dia de hoy cree un lindo dibujo digital inspirado en la moda de los años 80, donde combine sus iconicos trajes con el mar y las sirenas.
I came up with the idea of creating this style and character, due to the entertaining contest proposed in the 
For this project, I was inspired by one of my daughter's favorite dolls, a cute mermaid that dazzles beauty and originality with its peculiar strawberry pink color.

Para este proyecto, me inspire en una de las muñecas favoritas de mi hija, una linda sirena que deslumbra belleza y originalidad con su color rosa fresa tan peculiar.
Every style of the time was a real beauty. Between the polka dots, the flared or princess skirts and a little later the infinite mix of bright colors, with flared pants, I was filled with a lot of inspiration.
So I chose the fashion of the 80's, where mini skirts, shoulder pads, glitter dresses, XL belts, jerseys, denim or tulle -among many other garments and fabrics- were gaining strength to the point of becoming the dress code par excellence around the world. However, much of this revolution was marked by the influence that this style had among many artists and / or celebrities of the time.
Cada estilo propio de la epoca era una verdadera belleza. Entre los lunares, las faldas acampanadas o con corte princesa y un poco mas adelante la mezcla infinita de colores vivos, con pantalones acampanados, me llenaban de mucha inspiración.
Asi que elegi la moda de los años 80, donde las minifaldas, las hombreras, los vestidos de brillo, los cinturones tamaño XL, los maillot, el denim o los tules –entre muchas otras prendas y tejidos– fueron tomando fuerza hasta el punto de convertirse en el código de vestimenta por excelencia en todo el mundo. Sin embargo, gran parte de esta revolución vino marcada por la influencia que tuvo este estilo entre múltiples artistas y/o celebridades de la época.

✨️✨️Process /Proceso✨️✨️
STEP/PASO 1
I started by making some stripes, until I obtained a shape or structure, as it was taking some form, I was making some geometric figures, and drawing center lines, so that this character was well executed and the face as symmetrical as possible.
Then I continued making the costumes and other accessories that would complement and combine with the drawing. Selecting a casual sporty style, where the flights take all the attention, with half flared cuts.
Comence realizando algunas rayas, hasta ir obteniendo una forma o estructura, a medida que iba tomando alguna forma, fui haciendo algunas figuras geométricas, y trazando rayas centricas, para que este personaje estuviese bien ejecutado y la cara lo mas simétrica posible.
Luego continue haciendo el vestuario y otros accesorios que complementaran y combinara con el dibujo. Seleccionando un estilo deportivo casual, donde los vuelos se lleven toda la atencion, con cortes medio acampanados.
STEP/PASO 2
Once my design was done, I proceeded to give it life with color, making this process of filling in layers, to avoid damaging any part in case of a mistake.
For the mermaid I used strawberry pink tones in her hair, tail and the blouse she would wear, because my daughter's doll was exactly that tone and I wanted her to be as similar as possible.
Highlighting her silhouette with a wide blue belt, very iconic in every style of the time.
Una vez realizado mi diseño, procedi a darle vida con color, haciendo este proceso de rellenado por capas, para evitar dañar alguna parte en caso de una equivocación.
Para la sirena emplee las tonalidades rosa fresa en su cabello, cola y la blusa que tendria puesta, pues la muñeca de mi hija era exactamente de ese tono y queria que fuese lo mas parecida posible.
Resaltando su silueta con un cinturón ancho azul, bien iconico en cada estilo de la época.
STEP/PASO 3
Highlight some edges such as hair, tail, some scales and details of the blouse with a curved drawing pen, giving the desired effect and style on each part.
Destaque algunos bordes como el cabello, cola, algunas escamas y detalles de la blusa con una pluma de dibujo curva, dando el efecto y estilo deseado en cada parte.
STEP/PASO 4
Then I gave her more illumination with highlights in the hair, tail, blouse and other areas. Highlighting significant aspects in each area.
Finally for the background I made a kind of rocks with the fine feather, and filled with the sprey style feather to expand in an irregular way, achieving a more accurate finish with the seabed.
Luego le di mas iluminación con brillos en el cabello, cola, blusa y otras zonas. Resaltando aspectos significativos en cada zona.
Por último para el fondo realice una especiede rocas con la pluma fina, y rellene con la pluma estilo esprey para expandir de manera irregular, logrando un acabado mas acertado con el fondo marino.
