I’m feeling very happy and motivated today, as I’m sharing a lovely upcycling and sustainable fashion project with you.
I created a beautiful skirt with a "mullet" (high-low) cut, transforming it from a somewhat abstract-style dress.
These are the kinds of projects I love doing most; completely changing the look or structure of a garment into something entirely different makes the process so much fun.

El dia de hoy me encuentro muy feliz y motivada, pues os traigo un lindo proyecto de reciclado y moda sostenible.
Donde cree una linda falda con un corte estilo poco partiendo de un vestido algo abstracto.
Este tipo de proyectos son los que mas amo hacer, pues el cambiar tanto la presencia o estructura de una prenda a otra completamente diferente, hace que el proceso sea tan entretenido.

The fabric wasn't one of my favorites, but I always see potential in any opportunity. I had considered a pleated schoolgirl-style skirt, but the way the fabric was shaped at the front didn't allow me to make the most of the material. In the end, I settled on a second option: creating a skirt with an overlay that formed a pointed shape at both the front and the back.
La tela no era de mis favoritas, pro spre veo posibilidades en cualquier oportunidad. Tense en un estilo de falda colegiala d tachones. Pero la forma que esta tenia al frente, no permitia aprovechar al máximo del tejido.
Quedandome al final con la segunda opción, hacer una falda con otra por encima; que hiciera una especie de pico en el area del frente y la parte trasera.

Procedure:
1st step:
For this project, I started by laying out all the pieces that would make up my skirt: the front and back sections, and the princess-seam piece—which, at the front, forms a sort of gently arched point.
Procedimiento
1er paso:
Para este proyecto comence sacando todas las partes que conformarían mi falda, delantero con trasero y la pieza con el estilo corte princesa, pero que en el frente una especie de pico medio arqueado.
2nd step:
Ensure a snug fit by joining the pieces and taking in the sides—adjusting both skirt sections separately as well as the skirt's waistband.
To achieve this fit, place the design pieces with their wrong sides facing each other and finish the edges with a zigzag stitch; this provides greater durability and a superior finish.
2do paso:
Entalle bien todas las piezas uniendolas y ajustando mas por los laterales a ambas faldas por separado y al propio fajin de la falda.
Para dicho entalle, coloque por el reves de la tela ambas caras de las piezas del diseño, y remate con puntadas en zig zag. Dandole mas resistencia y un mejor acabado.
Step 3:
As a final step, I joined all the pieces using a straight stitch with moderate spacing, always using pins to keep them from shifting and avoid damaging the garment.
3er paso:
Como ultimo paso uni todas las piezas con una puntada recta semidistante. Siempre colocandole alfileres para evitar que se mueva de lugar y asi no dañar mi prenda.
