I am feeling very happy and motivated today, as I’m sharing a lovely upcycling and sustainable fashion project with you. I created a beautiful turban-style hat using a white fabric that looked like embroidery.
It was a new challenge—a design I had never attempted before—but with effort, anything is possible, and you can achieve incredible results.

Donde cree un lindo gorro estilo tubante, con un tejido blanco que parecía bordado. Fue un nuevo reto, pues el diseño nunca lo habia realizado, pero todo con esfuerzo se puede ejecutar, y lograr resultados increíbles.
As soon as I saw this shirt, I knew I would use it for various projects. But the urge to create a unique garment for a little puppy won out, and I ended up making this one-of-a-kind top using a special, delicate fabric.
As with every project, I drew inspiration from lovely ideas on Pinterest, finding two beautiful options that were perfect for creating this crop top.

Procedure:
1st step:
I started by cutting the fabric—folded in two—using a paper pattern I had previously created as a guide for cutting out each piece. Once I had cut out a shape resembling a semi-oval diamond, I hand-gathered the top and bottom edges; for the bottom edge, I gathered only a small section.
1er paso:
Comence cortando el tejido con la tela doblada en dos, donde anteriormente habia realizado un patron en una hoja, sirviendo asi de base para la hora d sacar cada pieza.
Una vez cortado una especie de rombo medio ovalado, frunci a mano por los laterales de arriba y abajo. El de abajo seria solo en un pequeño espacio.
2nd step:
Continue making the sash and the loops to attach it later to the turban body. Using pins, secure both pieces on all four sides and sew a straight stitch around the entire perimeter.
To finish, sew a zigzag stitch to provide a better finish and greater durability.
2do paso:
Continúe haciendo el fajin, y las trabillas para colocarlo luego al cuerpo del turbante. Con ayuda de los alfileres, sujete por cuatro lados ambas piezas y fui pasando una costura recta por todo el contorno.
Para culminar realice una puntada en zig zag, dandole un mejor acabado y mas resistencia.
