I鈥檓 feeling very happy and motivated today because I鈥檓 sharing a cute upcycling and sustainable fashion project with you.
I created a lovely little dress for a female dog out of a handsome men's shirt, designed to keep her cool, comfortable, and stylish this summer while beautifully highlighting her coat. These are the kinds of projects I love doing most; transforming the look or structure of a garment into something completely different makes the whole process so much fun.

El dia de hoy me encuentro muy feliz y motivada, pues os traigo un lindo proyecto de reciclado y moda sostenible.
Donde cree una linda falda con vuelo, e un vestido de jovencitas.
Este tipo de proyectos son los que mas amo hacer, pues el cambiar tanto la presencia o estructura de una prenda a otra completamente diferente, hace que el proceso sea tan entretenido.
This fabric was beautiful, and thousands of designs could be created with it. However, my client already had an idea in mind that would make it truly shine.
Since it was a stretchy fabric with a beautiful drape, it was perfect for the chosen design, complemented by a wrap-style top tied at the front.
Este tejido era hermoso, y se podian hacer miles de dise帽os con el. Pero mi clienta ya tenia en mente una idea, que haria que brillara con mas fuerzas.
Al ser una prenda licrada con una ca铆da hermosa, se prestaba para el dise帽o seleccionado, complementandolo con un top estilo bajochupa, amarrado en el frente.
Para tener una mejor vision del dise帽o, corte todas las piezas, obteniendo tres piezas en total.

Procedure:
1st step:
For this project, I started by laying out the pieces that would make up the skirt: two strips to create the flare and two main skirt panels (front and back). The goal was a casual style that accentuates the silhouette and curves. To determine the measurements, I used a sample garment, placed it over the fabric, and traced its outline.
Using a pencil, I marked a slightly angled line where the flared section would later be attached.
Procedimiento
1er paso:
Para este proyecto comence sacando las piezas que conformar铆an la falda. Desde dos listones para elaborar el vuelo y dos piezas para la falda(delantero + trasero). Logrando un estilo casual, marcando la silueta y las curvas. Para las medidas tome una muestra, la coloque encima del tejido marcando todo el contorno de la misma.
Con ayuda de un l谩piz marque una linea semiinclinada para colocar luego alli el vuelo.
2nd step:
Next, place the ruffles along the marked lines, securing them with pins. Then, gradually gather the fabric by hand while stitching a straight line, leaving the ends unsewn so the two pieces can later be joined at the sides.
2do paso:
Seguido coloque los vuelos en las lineas marcadas, sujetandolos con ayuda de alfileres. Luego poco a poco lo fui rizando a mano y pasando a su vez una puntada recta, dejando las puntas sin cocer, para luego unir ambas piezas por los laterales.
Step 3:
When joining the sides, secure the unsewn sections of the ruffles to prevent them from getting caught in the seam where the two pieces are joined. Once joined, finish the edge with a zigzag stitch; then, join the ruffles in the same way as the sides, gathering the area that had been left unsewn.
3er paso:
Al unir por los laterales, sujete las partes de los vuelos que se quedaron sin coser, para evitar costurarlo en el momento del empate de ambas piezas.
Una vez unidad, realice una puntada en zig zag, para darle un mejor acabado y luego uni los vuelos de la misma forma que los laterales, rizando esa 谩rea que se habia quedado sin coser.
Step 4:
Finally, I finished by making the sash out of a strip of fabric, ensuring it matched the width of the client's waist.
4to paso:
Finalmente culmine haciendo el fajin con un liston de tela, donde tuviese el ancho de la cintura de la clienta.
