Hello Everyone! I'm here to share with you a fanart tribute to one of the pioneers in EN vtubing. If you're not familiar with vtubing or vtubers in general. They are Online Streamers but instead of showing their in real life faces, they use a 2d or 3d virtual avatar and the character design is usually in anime style.
Her name is Gawr Gura, A hybrid shark-human from atlantis(her lore) and she was a member of the first generation of Hololive English Myth that debuted in 2020. She's also currently the most subscribed vtuber in the world, around 4.5M youtube subscribers.
And why am I doing a tribute? Well, She just graduated today(Graduation link) and the reason is company disagreement and the company direction is different. Though that's what is written on the official statement of the company. In my opinion, one of the reason of her graduation is the overwhelming pressure and expectations of the fans. Graduation in the vtubing scene means resigning from their agency and a retirement of their character.
What I like about her is her singing voice especially when she sings city pop or jazz songs. I'll surely gonna miss her singing stream.馃様
