Happy Saturday! Oh, time flies so fast. It is the weekend again. These are the days that I am looking forward to because my work does not restrict my time. I hate sitting all day in my chair and my eyes glued to my screen.
During weekends, I make the most of it. So this time, I made a snack for the fam bam. This recipe is super easy to make.
Last week, my dad bought a kilo of avocado for 70 pesos. In dollars, it is around $1.30. That is a steal because when we buy in supermarkets, the price is 5x higher. We bought the avocados from a local farmer. I love supporting locals because it is one way for me to help them.
Avocados for me are like butter fruit. I like it to put on my toast or just dip it in condensed milk. Avocados are very nutritious fruits!
So, without further ado here is my recipe!
My Guacamole Recipe:
1 avocado
Small onion
Small tomato
Garlic
Salt and pepper
Bread
Butter
1 teaspoon of calamansi juice
Rosemary
In a bowl, mix the ingredients and mash the avocado. I prefer my avocado not to be totally mashed because I want a few chunks. The tomato, onion, and garlic are diced. Put the salt and pepper to taste.
For the bread, I sliced them into halves in a triangle. I put the butter, salt, and rosemary in a cup and melted it in the microwave. Do not set the timer for long because your butter might get burned. I just timed it for 15 seconds in medium heat. Ting! There goes your melted butter. Use a brush to spread the butter on the bread. Do not be cheap with the butter! The more butter, the better (for me!)
Put them in the toaster or air fryer. Lay them strategically so that they will be toasted evenly. It is okay though not to be totally toasted. It depends on the person and how toasty the bread is.
Tadaaa! And you are done! Now you have guacamole in just 15 minutes! The bread is so buttery and crispy. I want to eat it while it is warm. The guacamole is so delicious and a bit sour because of the tomato.
For my drinks, I just had water with ice. Iced tea would be great too!
Best to share with loved ones!
I hope I shared a recipe that is worth reading.
