This first picture of me is something you won't see very often in my blog or in any of my social networks, but it's already 36 years, and I had always been curious to touch a snake (even if they terrify me).
It was a normal day and some guys from the choir, my wife and I wanted to do something different, and we thought of visiting the Caricuao Zoo south of Caracas, it is very remote, but it was worth the experience, we were with the daughter of one of them, a four year old girl who did not know the place, just like me. I knew we would see some animals, but I did not imagine that there would be an exclusive area to see reptiles. This place is called Aqua Reptarium and to complement everything I will tell you through my experience I leave you the link to their official Instagram, just click here.
Everything was going well when my wife @jhoxiris took that picture of me, in fact I was the third one to pose with the snake, since I took a picture of my friends “to relax”, plus my girl wouldn't even dare to go out with me in that picture for posterity. But for some reason the snake's stay at the Hotel Jesus was extended and suddenly, after so many brave poses she decided to stick out her tongue and run it over my arm (I was the only one of the five to whom this happened). Maybe it was no big deal, but my scream was not normal and I think it was heard all over Caracas. Besides the embarrassment the protocol woman has scolded me in front of all my friends, and if that wasn't enough I had to pay for that moment of my life 🤣 because taking pictures with the snake is not free...
After that first scare, the adventure grew, but I swear I was never the same again. We went through a tunnel lit with blue lights, took a couple of pictures to try to calm my heartbeat and entered the area full of reptile habitats. In that place there was a great variety of snakes, lizards, turtles, fish and although everything looked great it also gave some terror, since one imagines all possible scenarios 😅 but I think that if the snake at the entrance had not had more contact with me than I wanted, maybe I would have felt more comfortable, because to this day I still feel his little tongue brushing my arm 😵💫
At least the exit of the place really serves to clear a little of what happened inside 😅 it is another small tunnel, but with black walls and a lamp with lights that change colors simulating stars. That was another moment for us to take pictures and for the girl and I to kindly come back to reality. I managed to convince my wife to touch the tail of one of the snakes that the workers of the place had, because yes, there were two snakes loose in there hanging from the necks of their caretakers, it really is a place that makes you nervous. I think my wife and I got out of the doubts of how it feels to touch a snake, and actually it wasn't what we thought, but it's a bit hard to do it again soon 😵💫 Thank you very much for reading and supporting my post, I hope you had as much fun reading it as I enjoyed writing these lines. I wish you the best weekend of your year 🙏
