It looks like our guest has arrived. Autumn has come, having hidden beneath summer’s cloak. Welcomed by some, perhaps less so by others. Some will sit upon its lap, sipping hot tea and delighting in every one of its stormy tales. Others will wish that autumn had never come, those endless, gloomy days and cool evenings. One will long to curl up like a cat beside a hearth radiating warmth. Memories of the past summer so gently wash over my mind.

It feels like I can again feel the breath of those warm, long, refreshing summer evenings that delighted us not so long ago. Summer mornings keep echoing in my mind. I can even hear the sound of the sea as on summer mornings. The sea, with its waves, reminds me of our shared moments. Remembering this fills me with longing. It doesn't matter that today I want to wrap myself in a cosy blanket, searching for warmth on these increasingly chilly mornings. But, on the other hand, all this autumn coolness gives me the perfect opportunity to hug my loved ones more often. You must agree: there is something wonderful about warming up in each other’s arms. Love is what makes these chilly moments special.

The guest - autumn - has truly arrived, but it depends on us how pleasant this visit will be.

I stare out through the fogged-up window. So often now, rain falls steadily, and I can see droplets tap against the glass without pause. But today, I see a grey mist. With each passing day, there is more and more greyness and gloom in the mornings. And the clouds now only occasionally let the sun's rays through for a short moment. And suddenly longing comes knocking at my door - longing for summer, and for those who are not by my side now. I mean my children. I miss those who have left my home, but maybe I will see them soon. Sometimes I just miss the people who make me feel like I am in a cozy home. With them, I feel safe. Understood. Their words bring comfort to me. Their presence brings life back to my spirit. They shine like a torch in the dark, lighting up my days. When they’re near, my heart beats strong and steady, guiding me forward.

A slow - very slow - day lies ahead. Perhaps it is because my morning began before six o'clock today. Or maybe it is simply the autumn and the fog, hanging outside the window, bring up these feelings and thoughts. And you cannot even be annoyed, because there is so much coziness in that slowness.

Each autumn morning holds a bunch of magic. To realize this, one need only rise early and spend time in the embrace of nature - to sense the scents, behold the colours, and listen to the melodies resounding all around. And you start taking a deep, deep breath.

Every morning is our rebirth or a resurrection. Every day is a new, small life - a life that was never promised to us. So, if we wake up in the morning, it means we are still alive, and we are needed in this world! Accept this gift from the Creator with boundless gratitude, and strive to fill your own world - and the world around you - with love, joy, and kindness!

May our lips each morning say words filled with gratitude: I am grateful for being alive; I am grateful for everything I have! I believe that only by living this way, we are worthy of getting a new morning and a new day.

I took all the photos you see in my post on a misty autumn morning.

With Love, 2026.
