Advancing past an enemy outpost on Mount Hagen, we fought off a sudden ambush. After Sadie suffered a bad stab wound, Charles stayed behind to tend to her while I pushed ahead alone using a shotgun and collecting supplies from fallen guards on my way to Micah.
Realizing the area below was just a forward patrol post rather than the main camp, we prepared to climb higher up the mountain.
Driven by the single goal of reaching Micah, we pushed forward through the harsh terrain, only to be met by another heavy wave of his men attempting to block our path.
I charged ahead into the gunfire, firing continuously as we gained ground against the defensive line.
During the chaos of the push, two enemies tackled us. One tackled John into the snow while the other lunged directly at Sadie with a blade. John began hammering away at his attacker, but the second enemy managed to stab Sadie deeply before a gunshot rang out from behind.
Charles, having pushed through his own injuries to follow us up the trail, shot the attacker in the back just in time.
Sadie was bleeding heavily from the stab wound, yet she stubbornly insisted the injury was nothing serious. Knowing the reality of her condition, she urged John to push forward alone to handle Micah while Charles stayed by her side to provide aid.
Moving ahead on my own, another group of guards stepped out to cut me off, but I drew my shotgun and began blowing them away at point-blank range, and cleared the path through the dense enemy line.
As I crested a small rise, a guard lunged from the shadows to force a fistfight. Uninterested in wasting time with hand-to-hand combat, I raised my firearm and put a single round directly through his head.
I swapped back to the shotgun, tearing through the remaining hostiles positioned along the ridge.
Pausing between firefights, I scavenged the fallen bodies along the trail to restock my supply of health and Dead Eye tonics, preparing for the final confrontation waiting at the top of the mountain.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
