While still in Strawberry, I bought a stagecoach robbery tip from Hector at the freight depot for two dollars. On my way out, a stranger asked me to find his missing dog. After searching the area, chatting with locals, and trying some brief fishing, I gave up the dog search in the rain.
I was still in Strawberry, and it looked like there was stagecoach information available that I could pursue for a potential job. I started walking toward the freight depot where the tip was located.
I stepped inside the Strawberry Depot for freight and cable office to check out. The station clerk was standing inside, so I initiated a conversation with a friendly greeting. His name was Hector, and John spoke to him as if he already knew about him.
Hector quickly understood that John was a friend of Josiah and mentioned he had something John might want to look at.
I tipped Hector two dollars for the coach robbery information, completing the trade. It was the Fort Riggs coach tip. Hector warned that the coach was heading toward Blackwater and would be heavily guarded.
Satisfied with the lead, I left Hector and headed out of the depot to pursue the stagecoach.
On my way through town, a man stopped me to ask if I had seen his dog. He explained that she had been gone for hours, that he had looked everywhere, and asked if I could help find her.
I agreed to keep an eye out. The man mentioned she was a foxhound, white and brown, and told me where he lived in case I found her.
I began searching the area. Along the way, I spotted an American domestic cat holding a rat in its mouth, but there was still no sign of the dog.
Not entirely sure how to track her down, I looked around randomly, hoping it wouldn't take too much time. After checking my map, I realized I had been running in the wrong direction and adjusted my path to follow the marker.
During the search, I encountered a man admiring the view of the dam and had a brief conversation with him.
Further along, I came across another man fishing in the rushing current, which inspired me to try some fishing myself. I pulled out my fishing rod, attached a lure and some bait, and cast the line into the water, hoping for a bite.
After a few moments, the other fisherman gave up and stopped, which made me realize I was probably just wasting my time. I decided to give up as well, folding my fishing rod and packing it back into my bag.
Suddenly, rain began to pour down, creating a wonderful atmosphere around Strawberry. After reaching a high point with a great view of the dam, I decided to give up on looking for the lost dog altogether.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
