Atreus pushed aside heavy rocks to open a portal, leading Kratos and Mimir to new orrery shrines revealing hidden giant lore. After witnessing depictions of freed giants, a stolen moon, and a living Tyr during Ragnarök, Kratos insisted on returning home before Atreus revealed a hidden piece of giant craftsmanship.
Atreus opened the door for us by pushing the rocks aside. The action clearly confused and surprised Kratos, who told Atreus to wait, but Mimir replied that he doubted Atreus was going to wait at all. Kratos then followed the kid through the portal, and we reached a brand-new place.
Atreus explained that there were more orrery shrines to see, pointing out that the shrines held secret stories kept safely inside. When he asked if we remembered the story of the old giants and how Odin had captured them, Kratos admitted he remembered, but Atreus noted that wasn't the whole story.
The unfolding imagery showed that the giants had actually been freed. Mimir wondered if it depicted the past or the future, and Atreus answered that it depended on what we were looking at, mentioning that the wolves were safe somewhere in a realm.
With the wolves chasing the sun and moon, it resembled a giant puzzle story. Suddenly, the moon was stolen somehow, leaving the wolf with nothing to chase. Though someone came along and took the moon, Kratos was unsure of the identity of the culprit. Mimir suggested it was a total eclipse, adding that he hadn't seen one since hundreds of winters.
As Kratos grew increasingly confused by the visions, Atreus asked us to wait as he revealed Ragnarök, showing the steer giants rising up against Odin.
Kratos asked Mimir if it could possibly be true, noting Odin claimed to have killed Tyr, while Atreus countered that Tyr might still be alive. Atreus wondered aloud if Tyr hadn't been killed at all, but rather locked away somewhere this entire time.
Being frustrated, Kratos told him to stop and said we were heading home because there had been enough "ifs". However, Atreus insisted he had one more thing to show.
Seeing that Kratos was no longer waiting, Atreus followed him back through the portal.
Once back, Kratos found some items and asked what they were, to which Atreus replied that it was almost everything he had discovered.
Atreus then showed his father a piece of giant craftsmanship he had been hiding, mentioning he had found it inside one of the other shrines.
That's all for this session. More moments coming soon and thanks for checking it out.
