With the house built, I explored the ranch, discovering a fast travel map and changing into 'The Innocent' outfit. After discussing the need for a barn with Uncle, we rode to Blackwater. John purchased a pre-cut barn, extended his bank loan, and accepted a lucrative job from Sadie.
While waiting for Abigail's arrival, I toured the property and discovered that the team had already started plowing the surrounding land for future farming operations. I also located a water pump positioned near the a field.
I walked over to a nearby table that held a simple meal, a few bottles, and a detailed map that offered a fast travel feature. This addition made navigating across the vast territories much more convenient for future journeys, and tbh, I always wanted this feature in the game.
I located a storage box containing various sets of clothes to try on. I selected an outfit called 'The Innocent' and put it on, though my primary reason for visiting the area was to trim John's large beard, an option that was completely missing from the prompt menu.
I found Charles standing vigilant near the edge of the perimeter, actively scanning the horizon for any signs of the hostile Skinner Brothers. John stepped up to his companion and urged him to stay safe while maintaining the lookout.
I later spotted Uncle relaxing under the shade of a large tree. John joked that he hoped to catch Uncle working just once, which prompted Uncle to suggest that they should utilize the land for livestock farming, noting that they would first need to construct a proper barn.
Deciding to procure a pre-cut barn similar to the house kit, I mounted my horse and began riding toward Blackwater. Uncle decided to accompany me on the journey, leaving Charles behind to secure and guard the ranch.
Upon arriving in Blackwater, the very first destination I targeted was the local hairstylist shop to finally trim John's long hair and beard. Unfortunately, the establishment was completely closed for business when we arrived, forcing us to move on.
We rode directly to the local lumber yard to speak with the salesman regarding a pre-cut barn kit. The salesman informed us that they possessed a couple of variations already cut and ready in stock, allowing John to review the plans and select the ideal structure.
Uncle questioned how they would finance the new structure, prompting a visit to the Blackwater bank. The bank manager openly expressed his distaste for Uncle but acknowledged that John had been a reliable customer, ultimately granting John a few additional days to settle his outstanding debt.
As we exited the bank building, a familiar voice called out to John from across the street. It was Sadie Adler, who quickly ran over to speak with the familiar figures.
John explained his financial bind, mentioning that he desperately needed high-paying work to cover his expenses. Sadie revealed that she possessed a lucrative bounty hunting job for him, prompting John to ride out with her immediately after instructing Uncle to inform the bank that funds were on the way.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
