Better safe than sorry—that’s what I learned from my grandmother—and older adults have a wealth of experience and are rarely wrong.
Let me tell you, this weekend my husband and I left the house to do some shopping downtown. We don’t have our own car, so we have to walk a few blocks to get to the bus stop. When we got there, he asked me to go down the stairs leading to the highway so we could wait for the bus and catch it faster, I told him no, because it’s a dangerous place and a lot of bad things can happen there.

So I stayed up top, being cautious and admiring the beauty of the big trees there, when suddenly a truck full of pigs came by, and my husband—who was down at the stop—took in that whole delicious aroma 😜—he was so stubborn. To be honest, I could smell it too, but he got a concentrated whiff of it, and he had to hear the inevitable, “I told you so”—that he shouldn’t have done that and should’ve been more careful—and all I could do was laugh and laugh together about the whole incident.
Then public transportation arrived, and we headed to the commercial district. Once we got there, there’s a store that sells motorcycles, and my husband always stops to look and wishes he could buy one again, because he used to have one and sold it—since I’ve always been afraid of how dangerous riding a motorcycle is. He says it’s a very necessary means of transportation, but I’d rather walk than ride a motorcycle, especially since buying a car in my country has become an unattainable dream for many.

And as always, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos along the way and also while waiting at my favorite bakery, where we had a snack while we waited for our trusted taxi—which doesn’t always take us all the way home—and thank God everything turned out just fine.

And you, tell me.
Have you ever smelled something unpleasant?
I’ll read your comments.

Thank you so much for your kind attention and support,
Blessings 🙏

¿ Te a tocado oler algo indeseable?
Te leo en los comentarios.

Muchas gracias por tú amable atención y apoyo, Bendiciones 🙏
