Hello friends of #Greenzone, I bring you my participation in this initiative by
There is a literary work, which many seasoned readers classify as very simple, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, and it is. But its philosophy transcends all simplicity to remind us of an inescapable fact: we look for our peace, happiness, and well-being in what is difficult, in others, in what is far away, and we do not realize that it is within us; in the path traveled and the lessons learned.
"Blessed are those who seek, even if they die believing they never found, and happy are those who, through seeking, find. When they find, they will be astonished, and having been astonished, they will marvel and reign over all."
The final treasure always awaits within us, transformed by that journey we call life.
The Awakening
Santiago settled his book, ready to take a rest, when he made out a familiar silhouette. It was Fatima, exhausted and thirsty.
A year later, Fatima rocks Zahra at the entrance of the tent. The girl has her dark eyes and her father's constant curiosity.
Santiago teaches his daughter to decipher the flight of hawks, to listen to the secrets of the wind. Until one afternoon he takes out the old book and reads aloud the stories of shepherds, kings, and alchemists. He tells her about Melchizedek and the Englishman in search of the ether. Zahra laughs, her fingers stained with henna.
He understands that the true treasure is not the one he found in the pyramids, but the one that lies before him. His Personal Legend has just begun.
