Hola #family&Friends

, now feels like an ode to his alter ego, one I borrow as a compass to speak of him.
He is not just a writer; he is an alchemist of words, someone who transforms simple, everyday language into metaphors that shimmer and leave us craving more.
I remember the first time I read his work on Hive. I haven’t had the privilege of flipping through his novels, though I’ve fantasized about the sound of the mailman’s whistle announcing their arrival at my door. But his short stories and poems revealed something essential: this man understands the poetry of the earth.
There’s an ancestral rhythm in his prose, as if the roots of trees whispered stories into his ear. Those unfamiliar with the countryside and the marabú plant lose their fear of thorns through Argenis Osorio’s writing. His narrative grace doesn’t lie in complexity but in the authenticity with which he names the ordinary and turns it sacred—whether in book reviews, films, personal growth, or music. Every topic flows effortlessly from his pen.
In a digital world where interactions often shrink to fleeting likes and comments, @Marabuzal is a beacon of true friendship. He embodies that rare gift of building bridges between letters and affection. Though we’ve never shared a physical coffee, his words have been embraces on gray days.
Friendship, even at a digital distance, thrives on sincere admiration, on small gestures—like celebrating others’ growth and weaving the future in complicity. It’s in these bonds that we discover, beyond screens, the same humanity hungry for connection.
My debt to @Marabuzal is both literary and sentimental. Every time he mentions one of his titles in a post, my curiosity burns. What must his novels be like—Convite de cenizas, De este lado de la muerte, Tras la piel, La sangre del marabú, and so many other unpublished stories? Will they carry the scent of freshly brewed coffee that lingers in his micro-tales? I imagine him writing by a window, with the same determination as his poetic alter ego docking after sailing through storms.
And though he hasn’t yet asked for my mailing address or slipped a PDF into my inbox (hint, hint, @Marabuzal!), I remain here, hooked on his talent, waiting for the day one of his works lands in my hands.
Today, on his birthday, I don’t have a beer or a cake to give him. I can’t say I can’t send it because, well, it’s possible now—but it’s the end of the month, and budgets are tight. So instead, I’ll gift him 77 Ecency Points because that’s a number he likes.
@Marabuzal, rest assured your writing has already anchored itself in someone who reads it with devotion (that’s me). And perhaps, in the future, when I finally dive into one of your novels, discover that I ran beside you along those paths through the marabú thicket.
Happy birthday, dear @Marabuzal! May the dawn remain your accomplice, and like a mast, may you defy the storm—both on Hive and in life—and always find safe harbor.
