A veces progresar simplemente significa seguir adelante, adaptarse y no rendirse.

English Version

A month ago, I went back to the gym after several months without being able to train. I was really excited to return, but this first month of recovery has been difficult, both physically and mentally.

The hardest part has been controlling my desire to do more. Many times I know I could lift heavier, but I have to train with less weight and remind myself that right now the most important thing is not injuring my knee again. Learning to be patient hasn't been easy.

Nutrition has also been a challenge. Before, I could prepare my meals the way I wanted and try to eat as healthy as possible, but now we only have a few hours of electricity each day, so most of the time I have to eat whatever my mom has been able to cook.

And lunch is another story. Since I don't have transportation to go home after work, I often have to go straight to the gym, so I end up buying a pizza for lunch.

I know it's not the ideal diet for my goals, and my results might have been even better with better meal planning, but I have to adapt to the circumstances and do the best I can with what I have.

Then it was time for my monthly measurements.
To my surprise, despite all these difficulties, I had gained muscle and lost body fat.

That made me really proud, because behind those results there is much more than just numbers. There were workouts where I had to lower the weight, patience, frustration, and a lot of desire to feel like myself again.

This month taught me that progress isn't always about lifting heavier or doing everything perfectly. Sometimes progress simply means moving forward, adapting, and not giving up.

I still have a long way to go before I fully regain my strength, but after everything I've been through, I'm happy to be back at the gym.
One month less of recovery. And one step closer to where I want to be.
