My first time at Comic Con Colombia and my dream of seeing FLOW live [ENG/ESP]
Hello, everyone in the Anime Realm community! It's been a long time since I've stopped by here, and to be honest, I've really missed sharing with you all in this space.
Today’s post is a #TBT, since on June 27 I attended one of the days of Comic Con Colombia, held here in Bogotá, the city where I currently live. I wrote this post to share my experience at what was my first time at the convention, motivated mainly by the performance of FLOW, the iconic Japanese band known for bringing to life legendary opening themes for Naruto and many other anime series; a first-time experience that, honestly, was extraordinary!

Something I found really funny was when they sang “Cha-La Head-Cha-La”: everyone in the audience was singing along in Spanish while they performed it in Japanese! Still, the music continued to bring us all together. I really liked that Keigo had a notebook with several Spanish words written in it and spoke quite a bit in our language; you could really tell they came very well prepared.
It was simply phenomenal to hear “Sign” and “GO!!!” live—songs I’ve been singing since I was little and that have been a part of my childhood. It’s a fascinating feeling to finally experience them live in front of the stage, especially from a band you never imagined would visit your country. FLOW toured several Latin American countries—including Peru, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico—but the first country they visited was Colombia, specifically at Comic Con.
To be honest, I'm not really a fan of going to these kinds of events, but when I saw that the guest band was FLOW, I told myself, “I have to go, because this might not happen again.”
I had an incredible time—beyond just FLOW’s wonderful performance—and I brought home several souvenirs like the ones you see in the photos. It was, without a doubt, one of the best days of my life, and I’d love for it to happen again.

Algo que me pareció muy gracioso fue cuando cantaron Cha-La Head-Cha-La: ¡todas las personas del público la cantaban en español mientras ellos la interpretaban en japonés! Sin embargo, la música nos siguió uniendo a todos. Me gustó mucho que Keigo llevaba una libreta con varias palabras en español y habló bastante en nuestro idioma; realmente se notó que vinieron muy bien preparados.
Fue sencillamente fenomenal escuchar Sign y GO!!! en vivo, canciones que he cantado desde que era pequeña y que han formado parte de mi infancia. Es una sensación fascinante poder vivirlas por fin frente al escenario, especialmente de una banda que jamás imaginaste que visitaría tu país. FLOW hizo una gira por varios países de Latinoamérica —entre ellos Perú, Chile, Brasil y México—, pero el primer país que visitaron fue Colombia, justamente en la Comic Con.
La verdad no soy muy fan de asistir a este tipo de eventos, pero cuando vi que la banda invitada era FLOW, me dije: "Tengo que ir, porque puede que esto no se repita".
La pasé increíble, más allá de la maravillosa presentación de FLOW, y me llevé a casa varios recuerdos como los que les muestro en las fotos. Fue, sin duda, uno de los mejores días de mi vida y me encantaría que se repitiera.
