During an elevator ride, KK spoke about his family. We located Mari with Hannya, who claimed her soul would found a new paradise as a new Eve. Despite a barrier blocking Akito, he eventually regained his resolve after KK snapped him out of his hesitation to pursue the Hannya.
While we were going up in the elevator, KK talked about his family and how he had ignored them in the past. At last, we found Mari standing alongside Hannya.
Hannya mentioned that the death of the physical body was a natural phenomenon, claiming that liberating human souls from their corporeal shells returned them to their true form.
Akito countered that by dragging innocent people into his scheme, Hannya had crossed a line. Hannya responded that Akito would soon understand how meaningless the earthly vessel truly was, and he reached out to touch Mari.

Akito decided to stop him immediately, but he could not reach them because the path was completely blocked. Hannya declared that Mari would serve as the final piece and the very foundation for a new age.
Akito tried with all his strength to break through the blockage, shouting at him to get away from Mari. Hannya then began to recite his prayers, stating that he would create a new paradise where the souls of his wife and daughter would shine for all eternity.
He added that he had just come upon a wonderful idea to create a paradise for Mari as well. He noted that such a willful spirit as hers was a rare find, suggesting that she might even lead this new world as a new Eve.
Akito grew exhausted from trying to shatter the barrier. Hannya attempted to convince Akito that his sister was better off in this state, but KK advised Akito not to listen to his nonsense, urging him to kill Hannya right then to end the nightmare.
Akito sank to his knees as his mind became overwhelmed, allowing Hannya to continue his deed. Outside, a giant shadowy monster peered in at them just as the barrier finally broke apart.
Hannya attempted to escape while carrying Mari along, and the giant creature swallowed them both.
KK told Akito to follow them immediately, but Akito hesitated, wondering what Mari truly wanted.
KK tried to snap him back to reality by grabbing him. Suddenly, Hannya appeared and crashed into their bike after cutting through the thick fog. KK declared that he would take Hannya down on his own if Akito refused to act.
Akito finally stood back up, fully convinced by KK to go after his sister. As Hannya readied himself for the upcoming fight, Akito declared that he had to ask Mari what she wanted himself, and that he could not afford to die yet.
