It was a rare Monday when the husband takes an off day. So we went to have lunch out with the son.

On weekdays, I actually prefer cooking for them but we thought we could bring the son to eat his favorite food - fried chicken!

He was delighted to see his dad coming together to pick him up because usually it is always me and his brother. This time, his brother stayed with their grandparents so we could talk and spend time with the one who has been going to school. It is not easy when he has to always be interrupted by his brother when he wants to tell us things.

After picking him, we headed to Lim Fried Chicken at their Setapak outlet. It is very difficult to find parking in this area, hence the husband needed to drive further away to park at the nearby park.

Lim Fried Chicken

This shop has many outlets. The one we went was this:

Location: 56, Jalan Danau Niaga 1, Crystal Ville, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Opening hours: 1030am to 930pm on Mondays to Fridays, 11am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays

The shop was actually totally empty with no customers at all when we arrived. It was suprising for me because this shop is quite known for its delicious fried chicken hence we must support local businesses like this, when we can.

The shop's interior is very simple with some mural drawings and red tables and chairs.

Their menu is also very simple because their main emphasis is their fried chicken served ala carte, with rice or some flat rice noodles called chu cheong fun.

I ordered fried chicken with cabbage for both the husband and son and I myself went for the chu cheong fun and a chicken wing.

I didnt know their chicken thigh is that big because if I have known, I would have just shared with my son as he cannot finish it.

We can choose either curry gravy or some sweet gravy. I asked for my son's curry gravy to be separated. The taste was spectacular and it has got to be one of the best fried chicken in this area!

We took some photos as we talked and tried to spend as much time possible but the sky looked like it was going to pour.

My husband was walking to the school with his new Japanese pants that he likes a lot. He does look good in it.

I like to watch my son sticking with his dad. He looks very much like my husband and they have similar interests. They like to talk to each other and I love to listen to them.
