Happiest 11th birthday to our firstborn, Levi who has turned 11!
He is turning into a fine young man, now a pre-teen. Blessing him to continue to know who he is in God! We had some simple celebrations on Sat and today. This year, he asked for brownies again but the mother is too tired to bake so we ordered instead. I made him a birthday banner and wanted to hold it at his school gate when he walks out but I was too paiseh to do it so I held it for a super short while at the car instead. He saw it and it made him smile. Only his brother and him and another parent who parked next to our car saw it and was smiling encouragingly at me hahaha. Then a welcome board at the house door awaited his homecoming. Just some simple fun ideas that came impromptu to me this morning.
Levi is actually recovering and undergoing some treatments for latent Tibi found in his body due to prolonged coughing. Doctors think he may have caught it from school but maybe it can be a case that is not disclosed as Tibi. Thank God his is latent and inactive Tibi so it is not contagious. So we have many many many clinic visits on follow ups and tests to keep checking on him the past month, this month and the months to come. Another blood test to go this Wed to see if the medicine is okay or not for liver and kidney as it needed to be monitored closely and frequently. But still, we are relieved he is okay with the medicine and we so far do not see any side effects on him. At first I was contemplating if I want to share this or not about him, but I decided to remember what we push through at 11.
So on top of everything, I bless Levi with divine health all the days of his life. He holds a very special place in my heart, because he truly reminds me of God's faithfulness to me. We love this boy so very much. He is indeed and always our pride! Thank God for His grace and love for him as we still navigate through this parenting phase and finding what suits each of our children best.
He has turned 11 so it also means I have been a parent and a mum for 11 years. I kid you not, parenting is the most humbling process.
