I realize for me, I quite like and enjoy cooking for the family from home. I mean I really don't mind the cooking part but the prepping and washing part are definitely not my favorite.

I feel there is so much liberality to mix and whip up dishes for the families in terms of creativity. However often, I repeat my easy and lazy dishes. There are also lazy days for me so onmy lazy days, you will see only 2 dishes for the 4 of us. But om days when I am for it and more enthusiastic, there will be 3 dishes served on the table.

So this was one of the not-too-lazy days! Hahaha!

Three dishes served for this day and I like to cook one protein, one vegetable and a soup, whenever I can.

Dish 1: Easy Okra Fried with Eggs

This is basically a no brainer dish. The ingredients needed are only the okra chopped and eggs seasoned with some chicken stock and oyster sauce.

Firstly, heat up some oil in the pan and fry the okra till its slime cannot be seen and mix in the eggs. That's all but this dish is one of my greatest #gems because it is very very delicious! The pairing of okra and egg is PERFECT! Try it for yourself!

Dish 2: Stir fried Bok Choy

We need minced garlic and washed bok choy for this dish. Fry up the garlic and then add in the bok choy to fry till it softens. Next, add i some oyster sauce and white pepper for seasoning. You may also add wayer or any soup stock you have to add some gravy to it. Simple and nice!

Dish 3: Eye Care Herbal Soup

This is my first try with this soup. It is a ready soup pack I got from some Chinese Medicine shop. It is supposedly nourish and take care of our eyes. You know in this modern era, we cannot avoid from the usage of phones and computers. They actually tire our eyes with all the blue rays. I saw my son rubbing his eyes often from his online classes and screen time hence I decided to boil this soup. It is easy with the help of pressure cooker. I only added in the ingredients from the soup pack and then I added 500g of pork shoulder. According to the soup pack, add in 2 liters of water and boil up to 3 hours. Pressure cooker shorten my time as I used the soup setting. I added some salt for seasoning and the soup is ready to be drank.

I hope to cook more variety of food for the family. So I must diligently explore more recipes or just do my creative mix and match!!! I lean more towards Chinese cuisine as I grow up in a family eating this more.
