Espero que se encuentren bien. Hace unas semanas, mis hermanas y yo organizamos una tarde de chicas en el parque para compartir con mi sobrina, ya que tiene muchísima energía y, con todo ese espacio, podía correr todo lo que quisiera 😅.

I hope you're all doing well. A few weeks ago, my sisters and I organized a girls' afternoon at the park to spend time with my niece—she has so much energy, and with all that space, she could run around as much as she wanted 😅.
Empezamos nuestra aventura con un pequeño revés, ya que, al llegar, se entusiasmó mucho por jugar en un parque nuevo, grande y llamativo, pero resulta que solo pueden jugar niños de 1 a 6 años y ella tiene 7, así que nos pidieron que se bajara. Entiendo que en todos lados hay reglas, pero para ella fue algo injusto. Afortunadamente, le explicamos la situación y lo entendió, además de que un helado la ayudó a procesar todo mejor, jeje.
We started our adventure with a minor setback: when we arrived, she was really excited to play at a new, big, and eye-catching playground, but it turned out that only children ages 1 to 6 were allowed to play there, and she’s 7, so they asked her to leave. I understand that there are rules everywhere, but to her it felt a little unfair. Fortunately, we explained the situation to her and she understood, plus an ice cream helped her process it all a little better, hehe.
Después del fiasco, decidimos recorrer el parque para que pudiera ver a todos los animales, sobre todo a los capibaras, que se volvieron muy populares desde que aparecieron en una película infantil. También le encantó ver tan de cerca a las tortugas, ya que se sorprendió de que se salieran del lago para buscar comida.
After that fiasco, we decided to walk around the park so he could see all the animals, especially the capybaras, which have become very popular since they appeared in a children's movie. He also loved seeing the turtles up close, since he was surprised to see them come out of the lake to look for food.
Mi sobrina tiene tanta energía que quería trepar a los árboles, porque tiene mucha agilidad y puede estar colgada durante mucho tiempo, pero tuve que hablarle de lo peligroso que podía resultar y le hice una pequeña sesión de fotos para desviar su atención.
My niece has so much energy that she wanted to climb trees—she's very agile and can hang there for a long time—but I had to explain to her how dangerous it could be, so I took some photos of her to distract her.
El resto del paseo lo dedicamos a turnarnos para acompañar a la niña a jugar, porque no es fácil seguirle el ritmo mientras corre de un lado a otro. Así que, mientras una jugaba con ella, las otras se relajaban tumbadas en una manta que llevamos. Lo gracioso es que en el suelo había muchas moras y extendieron la manta sin darse cuenta, así que terminamos todos manchados.
We spent the rest of the walk taking turns playing with the little girl, because it’s not easy to keep up with her as she runs back and forth. So, while one of us played with her, the others relaxed, lying on a blanket we’d brought along. The funny thing is that there were a lot of blackberries on the ground, and they spread out the blanket without realizing it, so we all ended up covered in stains.
Fue un día muy bonito en familia y le doy gracias a Dios por permitirnos tener estos momentos con ella, porque, sinceramente, son una gran bendición. Creo que esta visita nos permitió conocerla mejor y ver cosas nuestras en ella, porque es muy divertida y graciosa. Después nos fuimos a comer a un restaurante chino, pero estábamos tan cansados que hasta se me olvidó hacer fotos, jeje.
It was a really nice day with the family, and I thank God for letting us have these moments with her, because, honestly, they’re such a blessing. I think this visit helped us get to know her better and see some of our own traits in her, because she’s so fun and funny. Afterward, we went to a Chinese restaurant for lunch, but we were so tired that I even forgot to take pictures, hehe.
