An afternoon at Playa Colorada
A few days ago, I told you about a trip to the harbour, at a friend’s invitation; we had a brilliant time, even though it was a Sunday afternoon. We got back at midday on Monday and, on the way, we stopped off at Playa Colorada.
I’d passed by there several times in my life, keen to visit; it’s clear that the car park is spacious, which makes a big difference when it comes to welcoming visitors.
The sun was beating down; the good thing was that there were other visitors, awnings to provide a bit of shade, and best of all, as we were buying something from some of the local businesses, we could make use of the chairs and tables in the shade.
Promising ourselves we’d only stay for a short while before continuing our journey, we went for a dip in the water, which was crystal-clear and lovely and warm – a real treat; we didn’t even want to get out. Ámbar was having a brilliant time and was keen to climb onto an inflatable whale.
In the distance, we could see a giant rock, from which a young man was jumping into the water. I went over there with my little princess Arianna; there were lots of rocks and, with the crystal-clear water, it looked like a river; what’s more, there was an area that really did look like a river, but as we climbed up towards the rock, we could see from the top the vastness of the sea and everything that makes up Playa Colorada; it all looked so natural and beautiful.
This little adventure was very rewarding. Ambar and her dad stayed behind, enjoying the warm water and waiting for a delicious meal of fried fish that we’d ordered. From down there, they were waving at us to come down, as they were about to eat.
What’s more, the weather took a turn, so we ate quickly and went for a quick dip in the water because the rain was threatening to come down hard and, as I said, we had to continue our journey back to our city.
The girls didn’t want to leave; we were practically the last ones left on the visitors’ beach. Despite everything, we had a lovely time and have some lovely memories captured in all these shots that I’m sharing with you today in this video, which I hope you’ll watch right to the end.
