Today after work I decided to prepare some Chocolate Rum Balls for Christmas. I know it is a little bit early for christmas cookies but I will freeze them in my freezer and since I am on Call Duty it is a nice thing to use the time. I remember that my grandmother often made these sweets along with other cookies for christmas. I am sure I will also bake some other cookies too but I am not yet sure what kind of I will decide. Maybe I try a variety of cookies depending on how much time I have just before christmas. I will look for some recipes on the internet and I still know some from last year and the more popular ones that my grandmother used to make. For these rum balls the positive thing is that they only need some resting in the refrigerator and cooking is not needed.

Last year I also had to make some Rum Balls for christmas and my family was very happy that I did so. At least my brothers, my mother who has to avoid eating too much of it, was happy but couldn't eat a lot of them.

Ingredients:

  • 160 gramms Butter
  • 4 Egg Yellows
  • 1 big Spoon Sugar
  • 2 big Spoons Cacao
  • 400 gramms Chocolate
  • Coconut Flakes for decoration
  • 2 big spoons Powder Sugar
  • 4 big spoons of Rum

Preparation:

Mix the egg yellows with the butter and the chocoate, the rum and the powder sugar. Form some ball shaped objects and roll the in the coconut flakes. Now they just need some resting time in the refrigerator and they are finished. The whole process is pretty easy and they taste like heaven so I really like to make them for christmas.
