Atardecer en el Fortín de la Galera, Isla de Margarita, Venezuela 🌅[ESP-ENG]

Hola mis amigos de @hivemargarita ¿Cómo les va? Espero que se encuentren muy bien y disfrutando de las bellezas que nos regala nuestra hermosa y paradisíaca isla de Margarita.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un paseo que hicimos en familia en estas vacaciones. Lo teníamos planificado, nos encantó y nos dejó muy felices.

Resulta que mi amiga Yamile estuvo unos días de visita en la casa y como a las dos nos encantan los atardeceres, teníamos este paseo bien anotado en la lista de cosas por hacer.

Nos fuimos directo al Fortín de La Galera, en Juan Griego, aquí en la Isla de Margarita, porque todo el mundo sabe que desde ahí se ve uno de los mejores atardeceres de la isla. Arrancamos temprano y llegamos allá como a las 5:00 p.m. Al entrar, dimos una pequeña colaboración económica que usan para mantener el espacio limpio y cuidado, algo que me parece bien para que el lugar siga bonito.

Antes de que cayera el sol, nos pusimos a recorrer el sitio. Para los que no lo conocen, este fortín es una estructura militar de piedra muy antigua, construida a principios de los años 1800 para defender la bahía de los ataques por mar. Aunque es bien pequeño, caminar por sus muros y ver los viejos cañones que todavía están allí apuntando al agua te hace viajar un poquito en el tiempo. Es un lugar con mucha historia, pero hoy en día es un rincón muy tranquilo.

Cuando entramos el lugar estaba bastante tranquilo, casi no había nadie. Aprovechamos de caminar, mirar el paisaje y tomarnos unas fotos en familia. Pero a los pocos minutos, el fortín empezó a llenarse. Llegaba gente y más gente, todos con la misma idea de nosotros buscar el mejor punto para ver caer el sol.

De verdad que es un momento increíble. El cielo se empieza a poner de unos colores bellísimos mientras el sol se va ocultando poco a poco en el mar. Lo fino de ese fortín es que, gracias a su altura, no importa dónde te pares; desde cualquier esquina la vista es perfecta y no te pierdes de nada.

Pasamos una tarde buenísima, conversando, disfrutando en familia y cumpliendo ese paseo pendiente con Yamile. Definitivamente, son de esos momentos que uno agradece mucho.

Y bueno amigos si están por Margarita o tienen pensado venir, les recomiendo ir a pasar una tarde allá arriba, verán que vale la pena. Gracias amigos por leer mi post, saludos y Bendiciones.

Hello, my friends at @hivemargarita! How are you all doing? I hope you’re doing great and enjoying all the beauty that our gorgeous, paradise-like island of Margarita has to offer.

Today I want to share with you an outing we took as a family during this vacation. We had planned it, we loved it, and it made us very happy.

It turns out that my friend Yamile was visiting us for a few days, and since we both love sunsets, we had this outing firmly marked on our to-do list.

We headed straight to Fortín de La Galera, in Juan Griego, here on Margarita Island, because everyone knows that you can see one of the best sunsets on the island from there. We set out early and arrived there around 5:00 p.m. Upon entering, we made a small donation that they use to keep the area clean and well-maintained—something I think is a good idea so the place stays beautiful.

Before the sun went down, we started exploring the site. For those who aren’t familiar with it, this fort is a very old stone military structure, built in the early 1800s to defend the bay from attacks by sea. Although it’s quite small, walking along its walls and seeing the old cannons that are still there, pointing toward the water, takes you back in time a little. It’s a place steeped in history, but today it’s a very peaceful spot.

When we arrived, the place was pretty quiet—there was hardly anyone there. We took the opportunity to walk around, take in the scenery, and snap some family photos. But after just a few minutes, the fort started to fill up. More and more people kept arriving, all with the same idea as us: to find the best spot to watch the sunset.

It really is an incredible moment. The sky starts to take on some beautiful colors as the sun slowly sinks into the sea. The great thing about this fort is that, thanks to its height, it doesn’t matter where you stand; from any corner, the view is perfect, and you don’t miss a thing.

We had a wonderful afternoon, chatting, enjoying time with the family, and finally taking that long-awaited trip with Yamile. It’s definitely one of those moments you’re truly grateful for.
