After my successful classes yesterday, I really screwed up today. I arrived for my 9:30 class to find another teacher overjoyed to see me at the door--because my class was supposed to start at 9!
My brain had fixed itself on 9:30, the starting time for the same class last spring. I had been ready, books packed, for hours. Biding my time, I should have already been driving to the coop.
How to respond to such flagrant failure? Many apologies, of course. I also cried, because I hate to fail. And now I adjust my lesson plans for the lost time, try to not kick myself, and get back into a routine that compensates for my non-neurotypical brain.
