Where am I right now in my journey?
It has been a while since I updated y'all on my Duolingo progress. Now that Duolingo gives a number score for every language, it is easier to see my progress. A score of 10 means introducing yourself, 30 means you can order in a restaurant, 50 means you can give directions to a place, 90 is watching a TV show, 110 is communicating at work, etc. Here is where I am:
English: my native language!
German: 66
Italian: 43
Norwegian: 29
Dutch: 18
French: 16
Spanish: 13
Russian: 12
Greek: 10
Korean: 10
Portuguese: 10
What am I doing to get better, besides Duolingo?
I have been taking my German Bible to church. This forces me to focus more (beneficial for Bible learning as well as language learning!) For Korean, I watch K-dramas with English subtitles, but listen for Korean words I recognize from my lessons.
