I made a little shoulder shawl to go with my maxi dress. I chose to pick up the purple, although I might make another in green for variety. I made up the lace pattern as I knitted, then made I-cord for a front tie.
I also decided to use some patterned yarn I bought years ago at a favorite shop. I remember the day I bought it. My late daughter was with me as we selected several self-striping patterns. Bittersweet memories. But here are the finished socks:
