December comes and I realize how many projects I mean to finish this year. Some of them are:
Blue blouse for myself, cut out and half done this weekend.
I still need to do buttonholes, hem, and cuffs. I think this is the best sleeve vent I have ever sewn.
I have followed the advice of David Coffin in his book on shirtmaking and used finer thread and a smaller needle than the usual all-purpose varieties. I have to say it looks more professional with the fine cotton thread on the fine cotton fabric. The cuffs are made and pressed, just need to attach them.
The sweater and skirt set for my youngest granddaughter is almost finished. I am making a white knit top to complete the ensemble.
I also have some pants to hem for a customer and some other alterations for myself. I am happy when there is lots of needlework to do.
