Greetings to the entire Hive community I'm @Felixswcab. I'm here to share a little bit of my training day. Today was all about holding my straddle planche for longer periods of time. I started by warming up and stretching my joints, such as my wrists, legs, and shoulders. I did straddle plank leans to strengthen my posture in different variations: supine, prone, and regular. Currently, my straddle planches last approximately 4 to 5 seconds, but my goal is to hold them for more than 8 seconds. I then went through plank progressions, including: tuck, supinated, prone, regular, and tuck in those same variations. The goal was to try to develop a new variation and strengthen the ones I already have. I did 4 sets of approximately 10 to 15 seconds in each progression. I also attempted a full planche, since I feel strong enough to try it. I can hold it for about 2 seconds with good posture, but it's still difficult for me. With poor posture, I can hold it for about 3 seconds, almost 4. However, my goal is to maintain it with good posture and keep it clean. My friends gave me several pieces of advice, including: training with PCA (body weight assist), since that way it won't be too difficult for me to maintain the full range of motion. They also gave me several helpful tips, considering they already have this technique. They also reminded me of the importance of getting plenty of rest after these workouts, since they put a lot of demands on the body. A good rest will allow me to recover faster and avoid injuries, such as muscle tears and rotator cuff strain.
