There was a time in my life when I was often given books to read and a specific timeline to return them. I am not much of a reader, but I would definitely read anything that would add to my knowledge. So I often wondered what the issue was with reading, and I guess it’s the fact that it's something that I had to do physically, like flipping pages, and even trying to remember the exact page I had stopped reading can be very tiring for me. I guess I am just too lazy to pick up a book and read because all these things I had mentioned seem like an excuse.

I could still remember times when I would study and read seriously, as if my life depended on it. The only issue was that I would need to jot down a lot if I were to cover an entire chapter or more than one chapter overnight. I had often believed that whatever I studied and wrote down with my hands during these studies, my brain would remember faster during the examination. So if I read chapters A and B, whatever I understand there, I will underline it and transfer it to my notes now.

As long as I understand it and can recall it, then I underline it!. This has really helped me a lot and currently it's not quite easy to underline words online. What I do whenever I see a sentence or phrase I like, I make use to google lens to copy the words. Maybe this was why I got tired of reading books physically (Jotting down things takes longer, especially if you still want to write it out).
