Underline
They say that underlining books ruins them forever, but for me, it's about leaving your mark. If books end up with notes, colors, or phrases in the margins, it means they were truly read and understood, leaving evidence of their importance in the life of the person who used them. Underlining is marking with your soul.
I generally mark what I need to remember to use later. I don't have a color code for highlighting; fluorescent green was always the color that accompanied me during my student days.
My code was not to underline paragraphs or phrases, but rather key words or those that were difficult for me to remember or pronounce. I also used to write the most important concepts from the reading in the margins of the book. I always felt that by highlighting or underlining words, my brain grasped the subject matter more quickly. Today, underlining is different for me. I mark what I need to remember to use later, phrases that resonate with me even if I don't know why. I no longer need a highlighter or fluorescent green marker to underline; a pencil or crayon is enough, or if I'm on my phone, the asterisks. Each underlined book implies a personal connection with the author; it becomes history and memory for the owner. When I read a book that's underlined or marked with words, I feel like I'm invading someone's privacy; that book reveals a part of their essence.

Dicen que subrayar libros es arruinatlos para siempre, para mi es dejar huellas en ellos, si los libros terminan con notas, colores o frases en los lados, realmente fue leído entendido y están dejando evidencia de su importancia en la vida de quien lo utilizó.
Subrayar es marcar con el alma, generalmente yo marco lo que necesito recordar para utilizarlo en algún momento, mo tengo código de colores para remarcar, el verde fluorescente siempre fue ese color que me acompañó en mis días de estudiante, mi código era no subrayar párrafos ni frases sino palabras claves o las que me costaba recordar o pronunciar, también era de escribir al margen de la página del libro los conceptos más importantes de la lectura, siempre tuve la sensación de que resaltar o subrayar palabras mi cerebro captaba más rápido el tema estudiado.
Hoy en día subrayar para mi es diferente, marco lo que necesito recordar para utilizarlo en algún, frases que me tocan aunque no sepa el por que, ya no necesito el marcador o color verde fluorescente para subrayar basta con lápiz creyon o si es en movíl con los asterisco cada libro subrayado implica una conexión personal con el autor, se vuelve historia y memoria para el dueño, cuando leo un libro subrayado o marcado con palabras siento que invado la intimidad de alguien, ese libro muestra parte de esencia.
