One of the perks of working the day shift was having the whole afternoon ahead of me.

I only got to experience it for a couple of months, back when I was still working in the office and haven't transitioned to Work at Home. This was a while back, after our 1 PM shift, my coworkers and I decided to have lunch together at the nearby mall and spend a little more time with each other. I’m usually the type to go straight home after work, but that day, I decided to join to make the most of the afternoon, since I won't be doing anything that day.

We walked to Opus Mall, just a few steps from our office, and had lunch at Sea/Salt inside Epic Eats Food Hall.

The place is different from the usual mall food court. It was spacious, clean, and beautifully curated, with different food stalls arranged almost like a little indoor food gallery.

We shared two sets of food with boneless bangus with salted egg, mango and onions on the side, dynamite tuna rolls, and my favorite, Salmon Sinigang.

The total was around ₱1,200 or about ₱300 each. A little expensive for a regular lunch, but everything was good enough that we actually came back two days later.

Just a little groufie to keep for memories.

After lunch, we originally planned to get coffee at Starbucks.

But while walking around, I noticed Hoshino Coffee and their fruit tea on the menu outside. I was curious of what it tastes like, so we changed our plans and decided to try it instead. It was my first time having a proper fruit tea with black tea, fresh fruits, and citrus, and I absolutely loved how refreshing it was.

Maybe this is what getting older tastes like. Choosing something light, fresh, and a little less sugary 😂🍊

We stayed for almost an hour, talking and enjoying our drinks before heading outside to take a few photos.

And, of course, I had to document my little weekday escape with an OOTD 📸

Then it was time to go home.
Nothing grand, just lunch, fruit tea, pretty spaces, a little wandering, and a slow afternoon after work.
