I have tried to find the Latin name of this beetle, but there seems to be some kind of mismatch. Like most of us (I think) we will most likely take Wikipedia as the main source of reference, but this time, I can find the article for this beetle in Wikipedia.
According to _singaporegeographic this is the Tortoise Beetle of Laccoptera nepalensis which is from the family Chrysomelidae.
Some parts of its body expanded so that it covers its legs, hence they get the tortoise name. It has an orange-colored body, with several black dots spotted. and there are also two black spots on its head which look like the eyes of this beetle.
But apparently, I was wrong because I find if eyes are also tucked, and covered up by its extended body. only visible from the front or from the underside. You will see it in my last photo.
