Today I want to show you some plants that I have at home. I grow shallots out of curiosity to learn how to grow them in the lowland area, because the place where I usually grow them is around 600 meters above sea level, and there it is so easy to get rain, and also it is quite colder compared to here in my house, where it is hard to rain, and it is mostly so hot during the day.
But to be honest, all I do is water them, and I only gave them fertilizer once. So it might be the reason they are a little bit skinny and not looking really well, at least compared to those that I grow now in the rice field, with so much extra care.
But at least I know they can grow well around here; maybe next time, when I find a land plot to lease, I might lease it and try to cultivate the shallots here around my house, so it will be a lot closer to take care of them, as well as I will have more time to manage between caring for the farm and also taking care of my two sons.
Maybe for the last fertilizer, I will give them some potassium-based fertilizer so that it will give me a good bulb. So far it is doing ok.
And here is the unexpected plant. The tomato germinated and grew by itself in the compost bin that I have. It already showing a promising result, though. Let's see if I can harvest it, or if my neighbor harvests it before me. hahaha
